Faves: Book Bags

School is right around the corner ;( and that means one thing i love! School supplies shopping! lol I'm such a nerd! But I love school supplies. Especially... bookbags!!! So here are some super cute book bags!
this super cute coach bag is a little pricey but adorable! Less practical than the others... but c'mon its so pretty!

this is my all time favorite book bag ever. It is so cute and I am dying to get. The cheery polka dots and leathery bottom are to die for!

This floral quilted backpack is darling. It kind of has a vintage meadow feel to it huh?

This love pink bag is so cute. A studious navy blue plus a really great shape  makes for an all around great bag. On the other hand, its a little small.

this denim floral back pack is kind of shabby chic. Again its a little small, but its funky and it has character.

This is a more traditional book bag, but its still awesome. The textured monochromatic roses make it edgy, yet antique-y.

This lacey floral back pack is the most tradional, and the biggest. It is super functional and cute. Perfect for highschool or college. Lots of room for books!;)

So these are my absolute favorite book bags! Which one do you like? My personal fave is the modcloth one. Hope you liked my faves post! (Havent done one in forever!)

(another) sick day!

Hey guys so I am sick again today! Wow! This time its just a bad cold, but still! :( So I made you guys a sickday kit. This is what you need to put together in a lkittle bag and have it ready when you are sick. SO here you go!
inexpensive, perky bag:

(To put everything in!)

Ayr Saline Spray

(this stuff is the bomb, non medicated and it works so well!)

Something to do!

(A puzzle book, sudoku, crossword puzzles, letter writing, sewing, knitting, whatever. something to keep your hands busy)

Something Really Good to read!

(This is a great choice! Or go with a childhood classic, like To kill a mockingbird, Trumpet of the Swan, Charlottes Web etc. Cant go wrong with these!)

Something reall good to drink! I try to avoid super sweet stuff, but this passion tea is great!

(even better when mixed with 1 part lemonade for 1 part tea! Or Pink lemonade is a good option. Or sweet tea!)

Kleenex

(Lots and lots of kleenex. This one pretty much speaks for itself!)

A bright comfy cardigan
(to fight chills, and a cuter alternative to a robe!)

Girls scout cookie candy bar
(If you still feel like eating, this is one delicious pick me up!)

So do you guys have anything special you do when your sick? Besides lay on the couch all day like i do? Ha ha ha! Hope you have a great day!

Hi everyone! I know I haven't posted in forever and I am so sorry! But I do have a legit excuse:)I'm sick as a dog right now, but the antibiotics should kick in in the next couple of days. And last week, I danced (oh yeah I'm also a dancer!) from 11:00am to 4:00 pm for four days! And volunteered at my church vbs for four days with toddlers. So I am exhausted! But here is a quickie outfit post, and a promise for a DIY soon! A coffee filter rainbow bunting and coffee filter clutch! Wow! They are really cute, I promise! And I found the cutest blog, called trinkets in bloom! I am totally digging those adorable diys! Well. That's all folks! Love you guys! Xoxo, Little ol' me

L' endroit de style contest winner!

The contest has officially ended, and we have declared a winner! She is @katelynwitherspoon. and this is how she styled the modcloth sailor dress!

What did she have to say about her set? Well. We asked her a few questions about her personal style and inspiration for this outfit. Here's what she had to say.
1. How would you describe your personal style?
My style is pretty much all over the place. I'm a mixture of boho, chic, nautical/preppy, urban, festival and a little vintage.Haha. I don't really like to label myself either. I shop anywhere; i don't discriminate. lol.
 2. What was your inspiration for this outfit?
Um when i saw the choices that you posted for the contest the only one that I could really style pretty well was the sailor dress. My  inspiration was thinking of tablecloths and lemons ha
3. Why did you choose the sailor dress to style?
I chose the sailor dress because it was easiest for me to style.
 4. Which was your favorite piece of clothing out of your set?
Probably the red blazer because i love bold style. :)
 5. What is your favorite lendroitdestyle post?
I like "american honey" the most! I <3 the sundress you got along with the opi nail polish. Very adorb (;

a look in my sketchbook

here comes a new series guys!! a look inside my sketchbook. I will share a few fashion sketches every once in a while! I got these  awesome body templates from idrawfashion.com.
So here goes:
These first two outfits are party outfits! The purple cross hatching design purse looks really bold against the multi colored one shoulder dress with a big fluffy bow thing at the shoulder as an accent. Also those wire star earrings.
The second dress is just an a- line fitted gray dress with a lace trim at the bottom (the lace was perfected with help from a tutorial at idrawfashion.com too) and then magenta fishnets over periwinkle tights to add a bright pop of color. I got the inspiration for the tights from a book. sadly, I was not the genius who thought up layering tights;)

This  last dress was inspired by katie from skunkboyblog.com, who's style i LOVE! It is a red overall jumper with a white pocket and big white buttons. Underneath is a purple trimmed puffy sleeved peter pan blouse and the shoes are retro brown t-strap mary janes.

Like em? I hope so!

Hi guys! Its me micah. I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, I have neglected the blog for TEN WHOLE DAYS! so sorry:) its hard to keep up sometimes, because right now my followers/pageviews are dwindling, and when people aren't checking and getting excited to see, i have less motivation to keep my followers satisfied. so yes. Now for the post! Just a quickie outfit! An adorable retro style sundress I got on clearance at belk!
so check out the pics. My picinc outfit.
Dress: Red Camel/ Belk Shoes: Cato + DIY (ok so I didn't follow the directions all the way, because when i wrapped the straps, they looked... lumpy. btw to see my original try for this tutuorail, request it in the comments and i'll prob post the pix tomorrow and it took way more strips than the tutorial called for. probs because of the awkward straps on my flip flops but... so i decided to modpodge a piece of fabric instead of wrap strips of fabric for the straps)
Earrings: Gift Nail Polish: OPI my Chihuahua bites Paper basket: this awesome DIY which I'm am using for an upcoming picnic! Yay!

So you like the outfit? I hope! Don't forget to comment or like or respond at the bottom with your feedback- I really appreciate it!
